PASTED HERE IS THE EMAIL SENT LAST TO THIS COMPANY AND THE EMAIL I RECEIVED FROM THEM ABOUT THE REPAIR TO MY ECM.

BUYER BE WARE...

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Adam I am very disappointed in your company tactics to charge more money than a customer should have to pay. I say this for the following reasons(s). Your email about my existing ECM that I sent you in good faith for repair was not even damaged at all when I sent it to your company. You told me that my existing ECM was burnt beyond repair and was not repairable due to a burnt control chip built into the motherboard. I did not have a good feeling about your email that was stating (below) that I would need to pay you an additional $450 to get a working ECM and then I would have to have that new ECM reprogrammed by a local dealer after I received the ECM. NOW What happened at my end before receiving my original ECM back from you was:

1. I bought a used ECM at a bone yard for $30 locally.

2. I hired a mobile auto electronics tech to come out and reprogram my used ECM.

He had the same issue as my original ECM had NO COMMUNICATIONS WITH ECM. He then ran a manual diagnosis on the wiring harness and found the only problem with the vehicle was a bad ground in the fuse box plug on the bottom of the fuss box under the hood. After crimping the ground wire end he got communications with the new (used) ECM and then was able to communicate with the ECM and reprogram it ad all was back to working order.

THEN when I received my old ECM back from you I plugged it is to the vehicle and it started right up the same as the new (used) ECM is doing now.   SO YOU LIED TO ME ABOUT MY OLD ECM BEING BURNT BEYOND REPAIR, AND STATING IT WOULD COST ANOTHER $450 THROUGH YOU TO GET ANOTHER ECM, AND THAT ECM STILL NEEDED TO BE REPROGRAMMED LOCALLY AT ANOTHER $160. I AM ENTITLED TO A REFUND OF ALL MY MONEY EXCEPT THE SHIPPING CHARGES FOR YOU TO SEND MY OLD ECM BACK TO ME.

Joseph,

Diagnostics are completed on the Enclave module, and this unit is beyond repair due to the issue being traced to the main processor (computer chip). The chip is not able to be replaced on this module, as it is made into the circuit board assembly, so you would need to replace the unit to correct the issue.

We can provide a remanufactured replacement, as we discussed originally, with a lifetime warranty, at $399.00 (minus the repair cost), so we would need an additional $250. This would take a couple of business days, and it would need to be programmed in-vehicle after install by a tech or dealership. If you don’t have access to a tech or dealership, we can have it done here for you before sending it for an additional $199 (599 total so 450 additional).

I can use the same card you used for the repair if you prefer.

Would you like us to get that going for you? Which service do you need?

Adam
