Early december 2003 I purchased gas at this mobile gas station. I notice that my mini van was running funny right after (I just purchased this mini van in august 2003). I was on 1/2 tank. While driving the check engine light came on I parked the car at home and called the mechanic. The next day I brought the car over to the mechanic, thinking that my warranty would pay for it, but said it was not a mechanical problem. It cost me over 600.00.

The second time on december 15, 2003, not realizing that it was that gas station. I went back to the same gas station, but this time I was on empty. After putting gas in the tank the van was hesitating to start but eventually it started and when I looked at the dash board the check engine light was on again. I immediately drove home and parked the car and call the mechanic. I was scheduled to bring the van in the next day, but it wouldn't start I had to get it towed to the shop and when the mechanic called me back he said I had bad gas. Not understanding I asked for an explanation. He said I had water in the gas, once again I had to pay over 600.00 for repairs.

When I contacted the company they send me a letter stating that they had the best quality of gas and my problem was not related to the quality of their gas. I also sent them the mechanic reports and that was dismissed. since I no longer go to that gas station any longer I have not had that problem with any other station, and it's that mobile station because I have been to different exxon/mobile station and that problem have never happen since.

Now to make things worst, it was right before christmas and I had to spend over 1200.00, so things are very tight. Even if I'm unable to get my money back I hope this letter could help someone else and expose this station.

Thank you

Hey Lincy not really pointing fingers at you, maybe alot of people didnt know about the merger. But now that you people are reading this be warned! -other companies to stay away from: McDonalds, Pizza Hut, Baskin Robbins, KFC and Taco Bell- this might save you a $1200 hospital bill! If you want to see a miniature reenactment of what happened in AK in your own driveway, pour some Mobil 1 in your engine!

You are right, I should of know that exxon/mobil was no good since the Ak situation, I guest sometimes you don't think until it happens to you. I paid $1200 for that mistake and it won't happen again. Thank you for your comment.

This is for the consumer that had a suggestion for my rip-off notice. If you read my letter you would see that the first time I went to mobil gas station the problem didn't appear right away the car hestitated to start, but it did that was because I already had gas in the van the second time I filled up the tank. I never even thought about the gas station. Second of all I go to different gas stations and this was the second time I went to that gas station and this time the problem happened again. The only way that I realize it was that gas station was because I paid by credit card and when I got the information from the mechanic I checked my receipt to see where I purchased the gas the first time and that is how I figured it out. Why don't you try that gas station and see what happens to your car and then maybe you can understand better. Like my letter said I might not get my repair money back but maybe it could help somebody else in the same situation with that gas station (MAYBE YOU). Shame on you for writing that letter or suggestion.

WHY are you still doing business with this company??? They still have yet to do good of their DEVASTATION in AK, but you continue to give them money to destroy your car too!!!!

If you were screwed the first time around..

IF the station was at fault...why did you go to it the second time? (or more)? If you were screwed the first time around, that should have proof enough to avoid the situation, but you state that you went there yet again only for the same thing to transpire? (you are admitting to two visits, though I am suspecting more). Hence the old saying: First time, shame on you...second time, shame on me.
