When I joined the pageant, the president pushed me to obtain as many sponsors as I can but told me not to worry if I cannot raise 1,250$ ... since the money does not affect my chances of winning. My mother had to take out a loan for me and invested in my expenses for the pageant. In the pageant, there were many rich girls who had mommy and daddy throw in tens...twenty... thousand dollars which totaled to as much as a four year college tuition. And guess who won the crown? Many that have raised several thousand have obtained at least a baby crown or an honorary title, but those who did not bring the bucks walk away with two thousand dollars in debt. The president admitted to one of the contestants that everything was rigged for those two girls to win....then he paid off the girl who wanted to come forward to the press about this pageant being a ripoff. My experience was pretty s**+**y. They starved us and let us share a single bed in a very sketchy part of town. They'd make us flirt with old men and stand on high heels for hours on end. When I say starve....I lost a good 10 lbs in a week. Eating nothing but granola bars. Please don't join this pageant. Especially if you don't have 20 -30 grand to throw away.
