I went online to check about my account, I wanted to find out when I was supposed to have opened a Pacific Bell account in CA, when I was clearly in MI. I was contacted by MCM in Feb. 2006 saying I owed thousands of dollars to Pac Bell and I need to arrange for payment. I told the lady it was not me who opened the account and that I was not going to pay. I got some info together to send to them about my whereabouts at the time of said account was active.

I didn't hear anything else from them and then in April 2006 I receive this letter saying if I would send 1/2 of what I owed nothing else would be done to me. well needless to say now they have turned over my account to law firm and they are threatning to sue.

I don't know what to do, but now that I have seen this website, I am going to use it against them anyway I can. there are other websites saying the same about MCM and I am going to check them out too.

I hope someone , somehow, someday brings these people down. It's no wonder people don't trust agencies and court systems if they allow these kind of things to go on. well gotta go catch me some thieves!!

If you receive a court summons, file for a "Motion for Continuance" Don't ignore a court summons...if you fail to show up they'll get a default judgment...that's exactly what they want...Do be afraid or intimidated...fight back. Do not ignore any court summons! If you do, they will win a default judgement against you. Good luck.
