Been with Metro for two years or more. Never had a problem nor had my service been interrupted. Monthly payment $66.00 which I consistently paid on the first of each month via my "valid” capital one debit MasterCard. And oh yeah, my debit card is still currently very valid. Like clock work I go online metropcs.com to pay my bill; it’s so routine I could almost do this with my eyes closed. Disclaimer: my eyes weren’t closed. Moving on, I go to make a payment filling in all the blanks,’etc. I click "make payment” and quickly the screen blinks and doesn’t allow me to advance to the confirmation page. Instead it shows (after I scroll back up to see if I’d missed something) red letters under my debit card number saying "Invalid Card” well - knowing I’m human and humans make mistakes I re enter ALL the information. After which I’m given the same RED FLAG. And so, I Google Metro "billing” and lo-and-behold there’s other complaints about the same issue I’m experiencing. I call MetroPCS via 611 from my phone. It’s a computer voice. The voice sends me through a web of options stemming from: their MetroPCS app. (Free) online payment (also free) and of course via phone automated or with an agent (both with small fees). Well, like most normal people I wanted to (get this) speak with another human. And so I danced around with their questions passing all with flying colors and was allowed to advance to speak with a real human. I could hear the clouds parting as the heavens opened up to send down the MetroPCS (god) to speak with me. To my dismay, the computer lady jumps back on to say: "due to a high call volume my call wouldn’t be answered” and yet (get this) I was asked to call back or MAKE YOUR PAYMENT ONLINE OR VIA THE APP OR THROUGH THE AUTOMATED PHONE SYSTEM. This morning August, 2nd 2018 for the first time my phone was off. I called 611 - used their automated system which accepted my so-called invalid capital one debit card which was also mind you billed an additional $3.00 for their troubles. A note to MetroPCS: we see what you’re doing and for whatever reason you’re planning on closing down and using this fraudulent method to stack a few100 million for your investors. I don’t know but lemme tell you boys this: Bigger companies have crashed and burned too for tactics like yours. Sure, jail may or may not be in your future but punitive damages could be.
