In October I sent a money order for $300.00 (three hundred)of hard earned money to completely payoff my account and start fresh to buy my kids christmas presents. I was thinking that I was helping establish my credit. I should have just used the 300.00 to buy Christmas presents and paid the ~20.00 minimum payment like every other month.

Apparently when the payment "arrived?" (7 days after I sent it), One of the oh so nice employees, made a

"mistake" and only credited my account 3.00 Three dollars. Of course that made my payment not only "a day late?" but insufficient and I was charged alate fee, an over-limit fee?, and an insufficient payment fee. When I got my next statement I was shocked to see that I owed 347.00 dollars. When I sent in the 300.00 the balance was 255.00! So I called and after 2 and a half hours of "run around" I finally hooked up with a nice guy that told me I had to get copy of money order and it would be taken care of immediately and all fees generated by the mistake would be rescinded.

That was in Nov. 2002. In December, after I obtained a copy of the money order and a letter of credit from Travelers Express (excellent business and customer service! by the way)I sent off another payment of 47.00 (to reduce to 300.00 again and not obtain MORE fees.)and copies of the original money order, letter of credit and a letter of my own. I mailed them Dec. 6th- signature reciept required! They signed for it on the 11th.

The payment posted the 13th (late 1 day? again- please note that was 2 days after signed for) and nothing was done about the $300.00. I have NO idea what happened to that letter. When I called I got the RUDEST woman, named Tierney Brown, who told me I had to get the rest of the money not credited my account from Travelers Express, that she IS the highest rank I was going to get to (although 5 minutes later she offered to put me into her supervisors voice mail and he might call me after the new year and she would be more than happy to cancel my account for me. She held to the opinion that Traveler's Express was to blame and they needed to pay me. The call ended when she hung up on me for telling her she didn't need to be a b***h about it. She said, I am hanging up because your language is vulgar. She is lucky I lasted as long as I did (10 minutes in que, and 15 talking to her. Anyway on the 3rd of January I packaged up ANOTHER group of same letters, forms and a copy of signed mail receipt, along with the "print this out and send it to us" dispute form on their webpage. I also sent it to one of the other 4 addresses. I did not send these return receipt requested, but maybe I should have because here we are on January 10th and I still have no answer, nothing shows on my account holders report online under disputes and I suppose I will be charged AGAIN for late payment (I did not send another one) and overlimit fee. My new statement should be posted tomorrow so I will let you know. I bet they will be calling ME tomorrow about me not paying!

I tried to get to my account online to see if anything has changed, account login denied, account not valid, please enroll to get account. I called and was told I need to call Monday when there would be someone available to assist me. I asked what are you? I was hung up on.
