Merrick Bank Monthly Service Fee Draper Utah
I have had a Merrick Bank credit card for about 10 years. Always paid on time and have never been late. I had a balance of about $2,200.00 @ about 20% interest. Not only was Merrick charging me about $40 a month in interest I was also being charged a service fee of $4. So I was being ripped off for about $528 a year from these guys. If that is all this credit card company has to offer I'm out. I called and requested the monthly fee be removed. The lady put me on hold and came back and told me Merrick cannot remove the fee at this time. 10 years and can't remove the fee at this time? So I closed the account and paid the balance. I was a sucker for 10 years. My credit score is 790. How good does it have to be? Let's put these companies and companies like them out of business.

You don’t know what a rip-off is. A transaction is a rip-off if one or more parties fail to honor the terms of an agreement. A transaction is not a rip-off if one of the parties is dissatisfied with the cost of a good or service. That comes under the classification of buyer’s remorse.
You told me to “Learn to read”. Maybe you should learn to spell:
“I recieved this credit card 10 years ago.”
The word is received NOT recieved.
“Any bank charging unnecessary fee's is a rip off.”
The word is fees NOT fee’s.
“Someone has a lot of nerve typing things of ingnorance.”
ingnorance is not a word. Ignorance is a word.

I’ve never done business with Merrick. Merrick is for losers with lousy credit.

Please learn how to comprehend and learn something. I recieved this credit card 10 years ago. Any bank charging unnecessary fee's is a rip off. Someone has a lot of nerve typing things of ingnorance. I wouldn't mind of keeping the card, but when requesting after 10 years the monthly service fee be removed and then putting me on hold as though the representative was thinking about it or asking a superior. Ripping me off so that new customers can get the card with a higher APR and no annual fee is a rip off. So please do not tell me what I signed 10 years ago. ripping people off is a business that this credit card company does for a living. $50 a year does not seem that much to most. But doing this to thousand of people is. My friend received a pre-approved invite, and he also turned it down. You want honesty and to do the right thing. Try helping the consumers instead of keeping them in perpetual debt. Enjoy your Merrick bank card.
