Complaint Review: Meredyth Moredock Cole - Episcopal School of Dallas - Dallas Texas

The Episcopal School of Dallas "ESD") has served as a conduit for harboring sexual abuse and mis conduct by their leadership that are put into positions of authority.  The Episcopal School of Dallas was found grossly negligent in the handling of a student-teacher relationship back in September 2009.  

In 2009, a police officer discovered Nathan Campbell, a teacher at the Episcopal School of Dallas (ESD) and one of his female students—known in the case as Jane Doe—were found having sex alone in a parked car. Officials at the exclusive, private Dallas school and the girl’s parents soon learned that Campbell had involved her in a sexual relationship.

Initially, (ESD) officials promised the student that she would not be held responsible and that her privacy would be protected. But a few weeks later, school officials met with the girl’s father and gave him an ultimatum: Either withdraw his daughter from the school voluntarily or have her expelled, an event that would have remained on her school record permanently.

In Sept. 2011, a Dallas County jury returned a verdict against (ESD) for wrongly expelling Jane Doe. The verdict included both compensatory and punitive damages, which jurors assessed after finding that the school had been grossly negligent in handling the situation. Following the verdict, ESD’s school board chairman and vice-chairman left, as did other school officials including the founding headmaster, the chief academic officer, and the chief financial officer—in short, the top three managers at the school.

The Episcopal School of Dallas was slapped with a multimillion-dollar jury verdict largely for forcing a student to leave the school after her sexual relationship with a teacher was discovered.

Meredyth Moredock Cole Appointed as Episcopal School of Dallas "ESD’S" Second-Ever Head of School in NOVEMBER 13, 2012.  Wanted to continue Episcopal School of Dallas's tradition of harboring abuse by targeting a student named John Doe.  

In the John Doe vs. Episcopal School of Dallas case, the justices refused to consider a harmful ruling issued by a lower appellate court. The ruling allows a faith-based school to avoid civil liability for harming a child in its care. In other words, Texas parents may have just lost their right to sue a faith-based school their children are enrolled in, even if those children were abused by school staff. 

The case involves a child who was expelled from the Episcopal School of Dallas for allegedly smoking marijuana off campus. (ESD) filed a motion claiming that, under the First Amendment, it was immune from being sued and sought special review in the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in Dallas. (The trial court rejected ESD’s argument.) The appeals court agreed with ESD’s claim that the father had no right to take the school to court. Its reasoning came down to one simple truism: ESD claimed to be a “faith-based” institution.

So why would Meredyth Moredock Cole target a student?  For her own personal gain.  John Doe was a student at Episcopal School of Dallas that attended a party at her house hosted by her son Clay Cole.  At Clay’s party there was minors aged 14-16.  Meredyth Moredock Cole’s son supplied drugs and alcohol to students, and several students were involved having sexual intercourse in her house.  In an attempt to coverup her son Clay Cole’s actions and recuse herself.  She targeted a student named John Doe and used him as the escape goat.  Sighting he was the one that supplied the drugs to the party.  During the investigation Meredyth Moredock Cole was asked to resign and put Episcopal School of Dallas in another lawsuit.  Meredyth Moredock Cole resigned and landed another job at The Lovett School in Atlanta will she is continuing her immoral practice of targeting youth for her own career advancement.
