Melaleuca International/Frank Vandersloot false lawsuit, never in company, has history of lawsuits to slow people down . Fail to respond, most suits settled after other party is financially UNFIT. Most sue happy company in industry. Worst staff, worst comp. plan, makes people sign false people to get paid. Idaho Falls Idaho
I have never been in Melaleuca. A friend asked me to buy products to help her qualify for her Mela. Check. I agreed and later, much later found that Mela, used the info that was falsly submitted and sent in , without my knowledge. At about the same time I enrolled a person I met in another MLM that used to be in Mela. He enrolled someone he knew and they did the same, Somewhere along the line, we were recorded without our knowledge and due to some enrollments, we were sued by Melaleuce for voicing opinions of their compensation Plan and recruiting others into our Freelife business.
The saddest part of this, is that we have responded to everything asked, provided info, reports and requested a settlement statement and as of 7-26-04 they have continually stalled and not replied. WHY???? because this is a favorite Mela. ploy to cost people money. Did you know that almost everyone of their corp. staff that has left has been sued??? Do you know how many distributors have lost their checks and then been sued???
I am the first one to have NOT been in Mela. ever and still be sued. They have not proved that I got Products, signed an agreement, not cancelled out of Mela because I was not in and never received a Check or geneology. this has cost me well over 50,000 DOLLARS to fight this, The courts have yet to hear the motion by my attorney for no jurisdicition over me. Yet the suit continues.
I am mad, not going to take this and want everyone to know that Mela. has evil policies, lots of hoops to jump thru, NO RESIDUAL income, huge profits for corp. Namely Frank Vandersloot and few good profits for their distributors.
Why do they sue, why do the courts not stop this, why does the DSA let them do it, WHERE ARE DISTRIBUTOR RIGHTS???
If you are considering joining mela, or have stories that you want to tell, let me know, I have a large file of stories from inside the company that will really cause you to reconsider.

I don't see how anyone can say anything negative about Melaleuca. I have been a preferred customer and marketing executive for the company for only 2 months and I love the products and I'm getting paid for referrals. Absolutely no complaints here.

Sandra, your posts are about 1 year apart and in the second one, you mention that you've settled with Melaleuca. Sounds like the terms of the settlement required you to make that second posting. It's pretty standard in settlements involving statements like the one you originally made, especially considering that this site will not remove a post for any reason, even if the person who wrote it requests that it be deleted. Good luck.

I posted the previous statement about Melaleuca in frustration and not in careful thought. It actually contains several statements that I had no basis or factual background for making. I have no firsthand knowledge about Mr. Vandersloot's profits or business actions. I also only have limited knowledge of thier litigation practices and not enough to make the broad statement I made. That was only my opinion, not a fact. Out of fairness to Melaleuca and to be honest I need , I need to retract the negative statements I made on this site about Melaleuca. Melaleuca has done much for the networking industry and set a standard as a reputable company. It is not the company that I have chosen to affiliate with, but others seem to be happy with it and freedom of choice is important.
