Complaint Review: Mega Tan - Mesa, scottsdale Arizona

Mega Tan owners of Mesa Arizona are theifs. To make matters worse, the state attorney general was aware of the things they'd done. It all started about a year and a half ago when I went into Mega Tan on Gilbert and University to get a membership. Things were going great with them for the next year. In fact, they were constantly having sales and pushing their new deals and memberships on me every time I entered the door. I felt like I was being bombarded by used car salesmen. Somehow they got me to buy a $400 membership for a whopping $250. They got to know me real well and acted like such good friends to me. Especially one of their main workers (manager?) named Noah, who invited me to a party at his house and hit on me a few times. I thought he was a very nice guy. Little did I know the things he knew. Towards the end, I began to notice that their products and different things on display in the front lobby were slowly disappearing. It looked as though they were preparing to move their store. Then, I noticed the beds being switched around and some of the rooms closed. Slowly, everything was disappearing. The last time I went there, their signs were off and doors were shut. There was a note on the door saying to call a number if you had questions or concerns. I did so, and the only thing the people did, after giving me the runaround for what seemed to be a half hour on the phone, was tell me that Mega Tan was currently in good financial standing with them. Somehow, I got ahold of someone who knew their previous financial company on Gilbert Road and University, so I went to them. The most they could tell me was that they had to get rid of Mega Tan because of their financial standings and that they hadn't been with them for years. In other words, this has been going on for years, Mega Tan owners knew, so they tried to get every penny out of their customers to pay off as much of their debts as they could, and then close the doors. I want my money back and I know there are plenty of others who are like me and probably many others who are worse off. I am horrified that I live in a state where nothing has been done about something so big. The Attorney General needs to step in and Mega Tan owners need to return the money they STOLE from us. How crappy it feels to know that I have been ripped off by a company and noone can do a dang thing about it, accept the state, who hasn't. Don't they care?

We are trying to warn consumers today, not to purchase memberships. Bankruptcy court said to an Arizona Republic Reporter "not necessary to notify consumers when in Bankruptcy" ... what is this country coming to?

Attorney General's office who so blatantly ignored this CRIMINAL behavior should be help accountable along with the bankruptcy trustee
