MAYTAG FRIDGE NOT COOLING BUT FREEZER IS FINE, BAD CIRCUIT CARD ALSO! Rip-off! Newton Iowa
Have the side by side model. MSD2356AEA, Fridge side is not cooling, vent in freezer that allows cold air to the fridge is blocked with frost, removed the frost and its ok for now. Wrote to Maytag, they immediatelty replied that it was either the heater, defrost timer and/or the thermostat. Sounds like the same problem as others are having.
I will just replace the possible broken components and the circuit card and will save the cost of a repairman's visit. The unit is only 5 yrs old and (yeah) had only a 4 year warranty. Really thought that buying Maytag quality would help to avoid these type of problems, and seems they aren't responding to others, and instead of going thru all the problems, I will just fix it myself, My only real solution is not to buy Maytag in the future, guess it is back to (name removed by ripoffreport.com).
