Massage Heights in Rochester Hills Beware of Sucker Contract Rochester Hills Michigan
This is less about a “massage”, and more about creating a contractual cashflow for the business.
They prey on unsuspecting moms that are given gift certificates. They sucker them into non-cancellable one-year contracts.
Unused sessions can be banked, but there are absurd restrictions on their use (length, who can use them, and so on).
What they hope is that you sign up, realize you can’t get there once per month, and then quit after a year.
You’ve paid for a dozen massages, and get one or two.
Ask them if they've had any complaints... they'll respond with "Occassionally", or "Just a few", but then have a well rehearsed, canned answer. This undoubtedly comes up ALL THE TIME. This is a scam, and they know it.
If they honestly cared about their customers, they would not hide behind some silly contract. They would find a way to work with them, accommodate them, try to make them repeat customers after EARNING the visits, not forcing them with a contract. They would not just take the money, and say, "So sorry you didn't read the fine print."
This is certainly legal, but hardly ethical, and NOT something you would expect from a legitmate business that is trying to build a solid, honest relationship.
Who would’ve thought you’d need to bring your lawyer with you for a massage?
Stay clear.
