DO NOT BUY A MASSAGE ENVY GIFT CARD FOR THE HOLIDAYS OR ANY OTHER TIME!! I just did everyone a favor. 

I'd like to start out saying that I am a super patient person that rarely causes issue with the service industry. I am usually very easy -going but this needs to be told. Last year my wife surprised me with a $200 Massage Envy Gift Card. We thought it was an amazing gift, but it has been nothing but a nightmare dealing with this company at several different locations. She bought the Gift Card in Ohio. We moved to SoCal in May of this year. I had yet to use the gift card, so we thought it would be romantic and a nice stress release to book a couples massage for our honeymoon in Temecula, CA. After the massage we tried to use the gift card and they said there was no balance on the card. Mind you, we NEVER used the card yet and we still had a year left to use it. After an already stressful time getting everything handled for the wedding and with money being super tight they made us pay out of pocket for the services that my wife had already paid for last Christmas. So we basically paid $300 for 2 1 hour massages. 

After much back and forth we finally got a refund on our card and they took the charge from my account with Massage Envy. I was on the phone multiple times and what was supposed to be a relaxing event after our wedding turned into a colossal headache. I also tried calling and writing the corporate office several times and they were zero help with minimal response and ZERO care to my concerns.

There was still one massage left on the card/account and I was VERY hesitant to book it because of all the run-around and huge issues we had last time. But hesitantly I went ahead and booked a massage for my wife under the account because she works very HARD for the money she spent on that Gift Card. So today she had a massage booked. Her grandmother unfortunately passed away this morning so I called to re-book the appointment. I told the lady on the phone what happened and why we had to cancel and re-book. This bi*ch on the phone said that because it was the same day that they were going to still have to charge me for appointment. No understanding for the situation, no Segway into it, just simply, "well since you are cancelling same day, we have to charge you." This company is horrible. I have never had such issues with any company across the board on all levels before.

Do yourself a favor and pass on this company. I wish we had.
