JD Marvel Products ripoff scam victimized many consumers Hawkesbury Ontario
My daughter's mother-in-law ordered a pair of boots from these "scum" artists on February 25th, 2003. We are talking here of a disabled lady that lives on a minimal amount of money. The money she sent for the boots would take care of her clothing budget for 3 months.
She is able to walk with a walker but is quite crippled and she lives in a senior citizens lodge. She walks to the post office and the bank 2 or 3 times a day to see if her "refund" is there. She called the J.D. Marvel Products Inc. about 3 weeks ago and they told her "they are out of the boots she ordered until September". She asked them to send a refund and they told her they would. It cost her additional money that she doesn't have to make that phone call.
I am at a loss as to what can be done to these people, not only to see that this lady gets her money, but to stop them from doing this to others. I am astonished when I look at the situations on this page and it is still happening out there. How do we stop them? There must be some gov't agencies to cover this situation.
