I was deeply disappointed with the belt and necklace that I purchased on line from Mano Bello . I first saw Mano Bello products on her ETsy shop a few years back and never had the urge to purchase anything, but recently she started her own website with new pictures & I thought her company was on the rise , but Unfortunately that was not the case as I found the her quality and craftmasnhip to be very sub par which explains why she is only known on ETSY.
The belt I purchased was shedding terribly and the sloppy braided rope was unraveling when I cinched the belt to fit my waist. The necklace looked like a limp mop and I would not be caught wearing this even as a Halloween costume. The leather was extremely thin and had a very odd shape and also looked used or reclaimed. It looked nothing like in her pictures which makes me wonder if the pictures are even her creations. Her claims of making designs for rock stars are comical. I have yet to see anyone wearing her stuff , not even the pictures on line have models as she uses cheap mannequins to display her necklaces and belts. I guarantee you will only waste your money if you think you are getting a quality product.
I repeatedly demanded a refund for the items due to poor craftsmanship and defects and owner Cynthia refused my many requests. In fact , she claimed it was my fault that belt was shedding and She also said that the necklaces are supposed to look thin and having defects in the leather is natural... After that lame response I decided to take matters to my Credit Card company who was very happy to credit me for the entire purchase.
Thankfully I was not the only unsatisfied customer and she has many claims against her company and there are many other customers that had poor experiences with Mano Bello Products and with owner Cynthia Cioffi. This is probably the reason why she does not use her name on any of her websites. She is based in Vero Beach where artisans are a dime a dozen and Cynthia Cioffi has been known around town to swindle local shop owners to sell her merchandise, but is often refused due to her low quality made items and also her lack of integrity.
Her shop on Etsy allows her to stay in business as she hides behind her computer and does not have to provide her name or contact number so that she can avoid any contact with her unsatisfied cutomers. Nothing "Bello" in Mano.
