Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Ramada Maingate West- vomit in bathroom, lousy food (I guess that explains the vomit?), bed made from rock. Just to be completely peevish- there wasn't a fridge or micro in the room (unlike the $50.00 Days Inn down the street). We weren't permitted to check in until 3pm, unlike the couple ahead of us. The 2 hour resort tour was 3.5hrs, but did give us a better lunch :}. We received our cruise voucher but were told the Orlando center would provide our tickets to Universal.

Bahamas Celebration cruise- the best of it by far. Extra hard beds in a closet (could 'upgrade' for only $149/person/night (can you say $598.00? and NO?). 1L bottled water in your 'room' available for $3.75ea. Lots of towels and HOT water ; ). The food was very tasty I do admit that. The constant advertising gets on your nerves really quick, thou. I was considering getting a sign that just said "NO THANX" and walking around with it. Bahama Mama drinks -before we came close to 'setting sail' (2:00 or so) only $7.00 with $4.00 refills, or a bucket of beer (aka a six pack on ice) was available later on. Then there's the constant advertising about the excursions and the 'deal' if you book A & B (yeah, real deal). We wanted to go horseback riding (we like horses & thought this would be the best advantage to see the island) but "...the horses are resting on Tuesdays. Would you..." Its a 2 hours trip- why should they be so tired after 1 or 2 trips a day, possibly cause they aren't being taken care of, humm?

Not to pursue the horses we tried snorkling. Ah, great deal at only $49/person ($69 ea if you'd like lunch with that- Are you bloody crazy! $40 for lunch- NO THANX, we'll risk the Island fare. Be at the reception area by 8:30am. Okay, we can do that. Swimming with the dolphins a mere $210 EACH! I'd try Disney, or better yet, the ocean. Anyway...

8:30am Tuesday morning- $3.00 water for sale in a 1L bottle- very cold (so it'll be warm when you drink it in 2 hours anyway). People were buying the stuff- you're stupid, by the way. Anyway, when we finally got to the boat to take us out to the reef it was about 10am. We get to the reef and find there are 6 miles of reef that follows the coast but you can only go where they want you to go (in other words not too far from the boat). We bought a .5L of water for each of us for $1.00ea. on the boat (I added lemonade mix to mine- yum).

Oh, lunch cost us $18.00 for conch salad and water. Very interesting conch. Then we poked around the marketplace and then wondered to the "new resort" since you can't leave until 2pm or later.   Back to the ship and to shore...

We called the Ramada Maingate West, in Orlando about our tickets to Universal Studios, to find out they seem to think we want another tour- yeah, right, like an abscessed tooth.

Let me tell you, we spent 2 hours on the phone calling reservations and the center trying to get them to understand the tickets to Universal were to be a bonus and there wasnt to be a second tour. We had the phone hung up on us at least four times, FOUR! How professional. At one point my husband spoke to a woman named Monica who said she was a supervisor and would text the Welcome Center the okay about us not having to take the tour, it was an old package and there had been changes, etc. We proceeded to call the Center and Raul insisted the message was not detailed enough. (When MY supervisor tells me something I do it, I dont question it. If there is a problem, they get paid to deal with those things). Bobby decided to hang up on us as well, wonderful employees. We attempted to find Monica the supervisor and found another Monica; as well as Justin the supervisor who was really not helpful. He did a great job with the Royal-Run-Around, not answering a direct question, telling us to send a letter to the Compliance Dept. for a refund (that address was quick in coming, let me tell you), since there was nothing he could do (more like nothing he wanted to bother doing) while on the package! thou we were between places. The last call was made after 6:pm and Robin was on the phone with hubby for a half-an-hour. Her supervisor would not get on the phone with him and she was a go between. She eventually hung up, as well.

This cut our honeymoon short by 3.5 days so I sincerely hope all those involved in this crud, choke on every dime they might have made and enjoy their everafter in Hell.
