Mail Boxes ETC ripoff boxing up and shipping package mistreated and ripped off Clermont Florida
I went to This Mail Box Etc Chain, and had the worst time of my life. I need it to ship a front grill for a truck, to a friend of mine. As soon as i walk in the store, they guy look at me, like he did want to work.
Right of the bat, he told me that i wouldn't be able to ship that item. I knew you could mail this item, so i thought he meant financially. So, i asked him, what do you mean? He reply, from looking at it, i can tell you that you have to go freight, and thats going to cost you about 200.00 dollars. I told him, i had a same grill ship to me, and they only charge me 20.00 thru UPS.
He insisted that i had to go freight with this piece. So i told him, i will not pay that much. On the mean time, i had them box upsome hoses, also to be shipped. After hearing what kind of prices they charge, i told him to cancel the other package, also because they charge to much for shipping. Could you guys believe this thief, charge me 20.00 for boxing up the hose and taping it up.The box is only 24"x24"x12!,
Why are you going to charge me 20.00 for a carton box this big. He firmly said, without any manners, thats the price, i already boxed it up, and you going to pay for it.
Anyways, went up the road to the post office, they gave me the boxes for free, and believe it or not, i was surprised how much this people were going to stiff me, when the post office only charge me 19 dollars and change, to deliver it.
The package that they boxed up, i was going to pay 80.00 to get it ship, and payed 24 dollars and change at the post office.
I was treated like crap, laughed at, and customer service, was not on this people's list. They think they are doing you a favor, by shipping your goods, so you dont have to do line in the post office, but all they doing is ripping you off. If you use them regularly, try post office, and you will see, the substantial amount you will save.
In summary, This people will charge you an arm an a leg for shipping. Unfortunetly, i could not get this pigs name, all i know is that he was working on or about noon / tuesday/Jan. 14, 2003.
