I purchased a sofa from Macy's on September 8, 2020 for a total price of $2,918.18. The amount of $2,500.00 was paid and the balance due is $418.18 which is to be paid upon receiving my sofa. After some delays I was told the merchandise was expected to arrive at the warehouse on December 21, 2020 at which point I would be able to schedule delivery. After multiple attempts by phone and email to obtain the status of my order, I have gotten the same response over and over:

"We are sorry for the delay in shipping your furniture. Our records indicate that your merchandise was expected to arrive at our warehouse on 12/21/2020; however, we have not received a confirmation that it has reached our warehouse. We have sent a request for an update about the status of your order. Rest assured that we will contact you once we receive the merchandise at our warehouse to set up your delivery schedule."

It is now February of 2021 and I still do not have the sofa I paid for and they cannot tell me where it is or when I will receive it.

After submitting my complaint thru this website and another, I immediatly recieved communication from Macy's that my sofa was located and will be dilevered within few days. It is unfortunate that it came to making this complaint to get a resolution but I am glad to finally be recieving my furniture. The Macy's representative I was in contact with was incredibly helpful and dealt with the situation urgently.
