I bought a used vehicle from Mac Churchill Acura's showroom floor, the battery was dead before I even left the lot so they replaced it. After 5 hours of waiting for them to get the paperwork in order and change out the battery I was on my way.

I went straight to the carwash where when I pulled in I noticed the turn signal flashing fast which means a burnt out signal lamp, ok no biggie, while i was washing the vehicle I noticed deep grooves in the rotors that I hadn't noticed before, and as most people know when the brake pads are worn they will dig into the rotors. When I got done washing the vehicle I turned the wipers on, only to see them shred apart right before my eyes!

The vehicle had a passing state inspection sticker on it from May of 2014 from Mac Churchill Acura. I stopped at 2 different state inspection locations and both said that the vehicle would not pass.

The next day I stopped in to talk about the growing list of problems with this vehicle. My salesman said it would have to be taken up with someone else in their used car divison & that he would have the promptly get in touch with me, after 2 days I didn't hear anything from them.

During this time I started getting a Service Charging System warning which I thought was weird cause they just put a new battery in? Well the did put a battery in that was the size of a riding lawnmower battery which was causing the system warning alert.

Got in touch with one of the managers who told me as far as the rotors and brake pads go, they had gone over the vehicle and gave the brakes a 5 out of 8 rating. 8 being new and 1 needing replaced, so there was nothing he could do. I took the vehicle to 3 other dealerships and have sworn statements from the mechanics that the rotors and pads are trash.

Once again I called to try and get some kind of satisfaction, was told that another manager would contact me ASAP. Waited 2 more days, no returned phone call. tried again with the same result and gave up. The good news is that the vehicle is finally up to par,oh yeah, after I had to replace all the lugnuts because Mac Churchill never put the locking lugnut key back in the vehicle which means you can't take any of the tires off to change rotors and brakes ect.

Buyer-Beware of Mac Churchill Acura. The WORST buying experience of my life!

What part of AS IS are YOU having a problem with? ALL used vehicles are sold AS IS unless you get a "WE OWE" paper from the dealership. While it is unfortunate that you are dealing with problems, it IS NOT their responsibility to fix them. Once YOU drove the vehicle off of their lot, it was ALL YOURS!!!! I would suggest that in the future before you make ANY vehicle purchase that you take the vehicle to a third party mechanic and have it inspected. This way you can get a "WE OWE" paper from the dealership and the problems can be addressed. If YOU did not do this, then THEY are NOT going to pay for your repairs. You can TRY and return it, but since there is NOW damage to the vehicle and fixes that need to be done they probably wont take it back and will only offer yoy a "trade in" value.
