We have been building for 20 years, recently had a client who we refered to this lender after approval the bank changed the terms and tried to require us to accept payment after completing the 35,000 project by strong-arm tactics directed to our client suggesting that they use another company to save the loan, this is the kind of company that they are. Thanks for nothing Lyon financial you are the worse lender in the business, terrible rates, scare tactics, crummy service, backstabbing customer service of approved dealer's. Trying to scare the client that no one else would offer fiance, Contractors beware

Liar's we have done multiple loans with the looser lender misrepresented our reputation

 We have received multiple draws on multiple loans from this lender they are misrepresenting the truth, crummy terms, crummy rates, specialising in usary rates for subpar clients left with few alternative lenders that buy low beacon applications. Don't use these liar's they are the worst.

We at Lyon Financial are unaware of who in particular made this complaint and cannot attest to its validity. However, we will take this opportunity to explain more about how we do business and rebute this complaint in how we actually protect from rip-offs, not operate as one.

We specialize in financing swimming pools and other home improvements nationwide and have done so since 1979. We work closely with every customer who applies with us to secure them the best possible financing based on his/her unique credit. Once we secure the financing, we then pay the contractor directly for the work performed in multiple draws throughout construction. Before we can release payment, we perform thorough background checks on each contractor to ensure each contractor we pay is properly licensed, insured, and maintains a clean background with minimal complaints and lawsuits.

We operate this way to ensure timely completion of work and to protect the customer from any potential fraudulent or disreputable contractors who still lurk in the home improvement industry.

If this contractor was paid by us at completion only and not given any draws, this would mean his background did not meet our standards and we chose to pay him at completion to protect the homeowner. Pay schedules and other pertinent loan information are relayed verbally and in writing to both the customer and the contractor at different times throughout the loan process, so proof of such could be provided, if the contractor questioning our business practices would like to share his information.

In regards to the comment of our “terrible rates”, we actually have the best loans in the industry, with terms up to 20 years and rates as low as 7.99% for excellent credit. We do all of this without charging the customer an egregious consulting fee  nor charging the contractor a fee, as other pool financing companies do today. Our “crummy service” has been used by over 400,000 customers to build over 250,000 pools nationwide, so it must not be that bad.

Our stellar reputation, 39 year longevity, and strong relationships with 3500 businesses in the pool industry speak for itself. We appreciate any feedback, positive or negative, and are open to discussing this complaint in more detail with the disgruntled party, should he wish to provide his identity.
