"They were aware that I work during their hours of operation & said I still needed to come in."
If only there was a process to pay someone a nominal fee to deliver my payment. Maybe the Pony Express or some other mail delivery system... perhaps the US Postal service, which has been around for 235 years. No, that's not it. Why should I waste 45 cents postage instead of paying a $400 repo penalty? Oh well, it's only money and damaged credit. But hey, I saved 45 cents.

Based on this report I really hope that you are not in a position that deals with any customers and their account issues. If so I truly feel sorry for the customers.
Where in the world did you get the idea that it was a good idea to just declare Bankruptcy because of this. Not only that but you are also saying that they ignored court orders forcing you to rent a car for a month, and gave the courts incorrect information. Where because of that incorrect information your case was dismissed. Yet in all of this the courts didn't hold them accountable at all?
Based on this one really does not have to wonder why you are with a Sub-Prime lender. Because this appears to be over about $400. Since it costs $281 to just file a Chapter 13, you did all of this just over $100 and that is only if you didn't retain a lawyer. If you did retain a lawyer then perhaps your true RipOff report should be on them for saying it was a good idea to file under these circumstances. That is if you are being 100% truthful in what you are posting.
At the very least you could have just paid the $400 and then gone after them in court after the fact. Or don't pay it and if they did repo and sell the car, take them to court. Where if you were right they would be responsible for any damages.
