switching your allegiance from Lowes to Home Depot seem like a lateral move, at best. Blue, orange, they are all the same. Consider supporting locally owned businesses....and no, Lowes/Home Depot are not locally owned, unless you live in Atlanta

Thank you for the reply Leena. I tried to disfuse the situation all I could like you had recommended. However there was no reasoning with him. Also, as I said before I could not get a manager to help with the situation.. which is why it escalated into violence on Sals part. My actions are not to blame here Leena. Yes I did get short with him... But it is no excuse to put your hands on a customer and treat them like this. I've had difficult retail and customer service jobs where I might of wanted to jump over the counter.. However, I have enough self control to act professional and courteous, even when the customer is not. Just to repeat my point once again.. I went to this store 2 times a week and spent ridiculous amounts of money there.. I feel the incident wasn't handled properly by the managment. So I won't mind going 15 minutes out of the way to Home Depot and urge everyone not to shop at Lowe's. For some reason I have a feeling Leena is a Lowe's employee of some kind.. Regardless, it seems she is trying to blame me for the incident, and stick up for the man because he is elderly. this type of unfai teatment is the reason i wrote the report.. if a person cannot control himself, he should not work in retail, regardless of his age. Yes I acted mature Leena, however your rebuttal was not very constructive, you should consider your own "maturity" level before making such a post. =cipher

Come on friend...Consider this. If the guy is elderly and still working, then I'd be willing to bet my last dollar that he's pi**ed off that he paid faithfully into Social Security for 30+ years and now the thanks he gets is a measly check that's not enough to live on and he can't retire. Secondly, you have to treat some elderly people like you would a toddler. That's the mentality many of them get at some point, and obviously Sal has reached that point as evidenced by his little temper tantrum. I think it may be the early stages of senility. Would you scream at and make smarta** comments to a toddler throwing a tantrum? I wouldn't. I ignore them and go on about my business. Honestly, you should have simply stated that the $40 gloves were apparently in the wrong place and were NOT what you had intended to get, got the ones you wanted, and been done with it. There was no need to say anything else. By doing so you created a situation much like poking a bully with a sharp stick.
