I purchased a Futura monitor over five months ago from Frye's Electronics in San Diego. The salesman there, blinded by his desire for a commission, assured me that Futura was a good company with a reputable past, etc. I bought the monitor, filed for rebate, and waited.

Recently, with five months having passed from date of rebate claim, I entered "Futura monitor" into a search engine to track the company down. That is how I landed here, and how I discovered that this shady company has no interest whatsoever in paying rebates. From what I gather, it takes a complaint to the Better Business Bureau (my next destination) to get them to act - and even then it's sketchy.

We as consumers cannot allow dishonest companies like this to continue making money. They are lying to us, using our inactivity to turn a profit. I plan to find some kind of resolution; whether it's payment of back-logged rebates, or shutting down of the company . . . well, that's up to Futura.
