Liberty Online Services rip-off phony enrollment in services Miami Florida
I got a bill attached my telephone bill for $29.95. My wife unwittiingly paid the bill. I asked her to call and they said that I had signe dup for their service - whatever that is - and they had my reponse tape recorded and my social security number. She got them to cancel future billings but not credit us for the first billing.
I got on the phone today and called asking to have proof that I had signed up and the lady on the phone tried to give me the same story. I told her that was B.S. and I was going to report them to the Kansas Attorney General's Office. She backed off and went to speak with a supervisor. Then she returned and told me that she would be crediting my account.
I am still going to file a complaint with the Attorney General because there are probably others out there getting ripped off in the same way.
The first hit in my search of the internet was this Rip-off Report. I hope it is legit as well.
