Liberty Online Services ILD Teleservices ripoff no warning Miami Florida
Our business account was also billed by ILD for Liberty Online. While the "satisfied consumer" above claims that Liberty gives a free trial period, that is not so. They set up a bogus web site for a business - which costs very little, by the way - and charge well above market to maintain that site. All of this occurs without the knowledge of the business owner.
Upon calling Liberty at the 800 number the "How to fix" consumer from above was diligent and kind enough to leave, Liberty informed me that another person in our organization gave permission to set up the site. They then provided me with a password - that person's birthdate - they claimed validated the okay. If anyone else calls Liberty, DO NOT FALL FOR THIS!!! The password they claim they were given is easily obtained anywhere, and is not validation.
ILD will cancel the charge if asked. I will be reporting both these firms to the FCC. I would suggest others do likewise.
