These people at Liberty Motors in Manchester CT are why used car dealers have a bad reputation. STAY AWAY! They sold our 21 yr old son a pickup. Our son asked if he could take it to our mechanic first and they said no. He should have walked, young and impulsively dumb move to purchase it first.
He knew it needed a little work, and was ok with that but our mechanic said one cylinder is shot and the vehicle is only good for parts. I called the dealer and said, you sold him a car that is not good and they should have known this. The mgr called the owner Mr Abbot and he said he would not refund the money. I said what if it was your son? He hung up on me. These people are the slime of the industry. I highly recommend you stay FAR away and tell your friends.
The issue is if you purchase a vehicle in CT under $3,000 there is no recourse. If they were a reputible compnay they would have said, sorry we didn't realize it, and take the vehicle back and try to up sell him another vehicle. They are obviously a very rude and NOT a repuitable compnay. Ripping off young kids who work hard for their money.
