I was constantly contact by lexus of queens service department for weeks that my car was due for a service. Constant calls, texts and threatening emails that if I don't come in for the service I may face penalties in my lease. So I schedule a service. Upon arriving a service tech checks their records and tells me the car isn't due for a service for another month so if I service now I am responsible for another service before the end of my lease versus a month from now where it won't be needed. He then proceeds to tell me the service is $495.00!!! To change air, check fluids and rotate tires. I think he's joking and he offers to discount it to $420.00 plus tax. I ask him why I should do it here when pepboys will do it for less than half. He said this is the price and if I do it elsewhere it will void the warranty on the car! I tell him that's crazy and he agrees but that's the way it is here. So I refused the service and lexus of queens will never get another lease from my family (3 leased cars in the last 2 years). Great way to bait and switch, try and ripoff and then lose a customer. Be careful, they are thieves and the service department employees know it.
