Les Schwab ripoff Blackfoot Idaho
My wife furchaced 4 tires from the Blackfoot dealer in Febuary 2002. Today I took her van there to get a rotation and alighment. This is when I was informed that the tires on the front are 2 different sizes.
My question is, is this company policy to place different size tires on the front of a front wheel drive van? Idf it is, then why do front wheel drive vans come from the dealer with the same size tires on the front.
The alighment should be under $45.00. The tire shop manager wanted $154.93, for 2 tires and an alighment.
I feel that the manager should replace the tires for free, since that was the store that has caused the problem.
I purchased a tire and a rim from the same store yesterday. Because of this new problem, I am going to go to another tire dealer, not Les Schwab, and get my SUV checked. If they do this to a disabled woman, what are they doing to everyone elese? I feel the manager was very rude, and the service person was trepassing when he went into the glovebox and removed the warrenty papers on the tires. I willnot go to the tire dealer that caused the problem, unless all the service we require on all 4 of our vehicles is at no charge.

Thanks to Dave, the asst. manager, the tire problem is solved. He replaced the front tires, at no charge.

I hope that you excause my spelling. I am so mad at the dealer and at the internet, not being th send an E-Mail to the owner. I am very temped to get a lawer. I do not want to take ths action, but i it is nassary, I will. I have not had a problem with tire dealers, untill I moved to this state.
