So, you were "ripped off" because a FOR PROFIT business refused to repair a tire that you bought elsewhere and as such, PROFITTED another company. How exactly did Les Schwab do you wrong? This would be like one of my customers coming to me after paying someone else to fix their vehicle and having it done wrong. I'm now supposed to make it right for free. Actually, this did happen. I gave a man a price to bend and hang a custom exhaust system on his truck. He found someone cheaper and took it there. It was done poorly at best(the place welded the pipes to the frame) and so he came back to me asking if I could FIX it. I said sure, and pulled out his estimate that I had given him the day before. He really believed I would re-use the garbage that was hanging under his truck and make it all better for next to nothing. He figured since the price difference was $50, I should redo the whole mess for the $50 and no more. HA! I did the job, and he paid FULL WHACK! Not only that, he brought me all of his friends vehicles and 2 more he owned. I did the job correctly and he saw that price isn't everything. Do you get the point of my story? Probably not, so I'll give it to you. Do you work for FREE? Of course not. Why do you people always think everyone else should? The mechanics get paid off the ticket. If the job has FREE on it, guess how much the guy just earned to pay his bills? You say the issue wasn't the $12. BULL! That was the ONLY issue. You wanted the tire fixed for NOTHING. You found someone stupid enough to do it for the price you were willing to pay. Good for you. I hope your boss tells you to work for nothing. I'm betting you'll complain when he does. And don't pretend you're self-employed. Nobody who is would expect someone else to work for nothing.
