Les Schwab Tire ripoff by replacing a tube fowling up the valve stem tube failed I had to buy and pay for a new tube and repair No one but Les Schwab touched this tire and valve Bellevue Washington
December 2003 I had my mounted studded snow tires put on my chev 4X4 truck so that I could go hunting in Eastern Washington. The next day I set out to find that I had a flat tire. I changed the tire for my spare and drove to Colfax, Washington where I had the tire repaired at the Les Schwab store. They said that I had a bad valve stem. Total cost to me was over $40.00. I drove the truck home and it stayed parked until spring when the mounted tires came off, again by Les Schwab. This December 2004, I had my studded snow tires reinstalled.
A few days later I noted a flat tire. Upon returning to Les Schwab as listed above, I was informed that the valve stem had been mangled. Understand that NO ONE BUT LES SCHWAB employees touched this tire valve stem. I had to pay another $35 for a flat repair and new tube. What a rip off. They did the work, they damaged the valve stem and the store manager would not listen to anything. He certainly has an attitude problem and Les Schwab certainly does not rate very highly when it comes to customer satisfaction or for standing up to the quality of their work. They caused the problem and I had to pay for it twice. Do not take any work to the Bellevue, Washington Les Schwab store.
