Les Schwab Tire Centers rip-off! Faulty inspection, lied to me! Federal Way Washington
I had just noticed a noise coming from the rear of my car right on the drivers side. It sounded just like something was hitting when I went over speed bumps. I do not drive my Honda very hard so I was concerned about what the noise was. I took my car immediately to the Les Schwab tire center in Federal Way, WA. After waiting two hours the guy comes out said that it was just a skid plate that had a bolt or two missing and everything else looks alright. He told me that my brakes looked excellent as I had just had the pads replaced.
Two days later, I'm crusing down I-5 in Seattle and then next thing you know, I hear this awful grinding noise and my brakes are barely working. Pulling my car over, I jack it up take off my wheel which is smoking, and I notice that my calipers had actually fallen off and the pads were worn down to nothing!!
I can understand it's not their responsibility to fix my problems but you got these guys that look at tires/brakes/suspension all day long they should be able to notice when a caliper is falling off of the rotor!! On top of that, when underneath my car I look and there isn't even a skid plate there!! This guy at Les Schwab must not have even looked at my problem. I will never go to this place again because this guy didn't know at all what he was talking about.
