I ordered premium Centerline custom wheels which cannot be returned after they're made. Two Les Schwab techs went out and took extensive measurements of my car and ordered the wheels after I gave them $695 deposit.

Two months later the wheels arrived and upon trying to mount them, discovered that Les Schwab techs had mistakenly reversed the numbers and the wheels stuck in instead of sticking out. They stuck in so much actually that they hit the struts and could not even be bolted on.

Cliff Miller, the manager asked for a couple weeks to clear up the matter and get the right wheels in...no problem. Miller said Les Schwab couldn't get reinbursed from Centerline due to the no-return policy but that he'd sell them to someone else. Fine with me. Trouble was, he wouldn't order the correct wheels until he sold the bad ones.

Three years later, after various excuses and asking for more time, I found out that Miller had indeed sold the wheels two years earlier but did nothing to order my correct wheels. To compound the problem, Les Schwab kept sending me bills for the balance of the original wheels although I had never received them. Of course they still had my original $695 deposit hostage and wouldn't refund it.

I contacted Miller with a legal threat and got a letter from Les Schwab headquarters saying that it was my fault to order the wheels with the wrong numbers and that they would not respond to me any further and not bother to contact them about this matter. In other words...tough luck sucker. They say this comfortably because too much time has passed to do anything legally. I let the time passed because Cliff Miller kept asking for more time and pretending to do something insofar as getting the correct wheels in.

First...I did not take the measurements and order the wheels...Les Schwab did. Why would I go to so-called tire experts if I already knew what to do?

Second...for them to steal my money and then be so pompous as to tell me basically to screw off really pisses me off.

I want everyone to be aware of Les Schwab practices and order your wheels elsewhere. If you do get wheels from them, don't leave a deposit or you may not see it again. And...don't believe their ads showing them all friendly and nice...wait until you see how they treat you like the piece of fecal matter they think you are.
