Your insurance paid Lenscrafters and now you want that money reimbursed to you? I'm sure Lenscrafters can't give you that money. If you returned product the company would have to refund the money to the insurance company and it would not be due you. If you returned product paid for by an insurance company and the doctor or retailer refunded the insurance company money to you they would be committing insurance fraud. If you paid out of pocket in full and then the insurance company for some reason paid as well, then Lenscrafters could refund all but your out of pocket amount or they would be responsible for reimbursing your insurance company and the ins co would have to reimburse you whatever portion you were due. However what it sounds like to me is that you paid your out of pocket portion and the ins co paid their portion and now you think it was paid twice and want a refund that is not actually due anyone as long as you keep the product. Lenscrafters and other opticals worth shopping at submit the insurance claim via the internet if it's one they participate in and the price due for your out of pocket portion comes up at checkout for what you owe over and beyond what your ins co is paying. If it's a plan they do not participate in it is your responsibility to get a copy of the resiept and submit it for whatever the ins co is willing to reimburse to you. Good luck with your problem but it sounds like your own misunderstanding is the cause of it.

although this may or may not be true - i am sure there is more to the story - !st of al - why are you trying to get the insurance money back ? I have seen over the yrs with our service - many folks try to "" cash in "" on their insurance benefit - and not actually take the service - your insurance company has a contracted service - to provided you - now that does not mean - say - you would like that service in for of cash - this should be the case now - what may prob happened was - since you returned your glasses - ( thinking you where going to go somewhere else - that may not be considered "IN network " or thought you could get a better deal from them - you thought that you should be able to do this - although your insurance may or may not have OUT of network benefits - " This sounds more like it to me - I am sure Lenscrafters will give back - ( or get charged back ) the money directly from your insurance company - and YES this might not be a quick process - but sounds like - someone is rying to pull a fast one here (( to me that is )) -

Lenscrafter should have filed a 'refund request for you' so that u would get paid from the insurance company. Ie; pay for the stuff up front, like my wife did...and get re-imbursed directly. In my case, lenscrafter is not 'in-network', but via a refund request is. All depends on who paid who. But the lady at my lenscrafter said they never file directly with insurance if they customer pays up front. And only files directly if they were to be paid directly.
