Legal Helpers BEWARE OF THE DRIVE THROUGH BANKRUPTCY ripoff Kansas City Missouri
I found myself in debt after some very nieve and unwise choices. I tried debt consolidation and was unable to get that to work for me. I contacted LEgal Helpers on line. When I started with LEgal Helpers they were in St. Louis with a new office opening in Kansas City, closer to whrer I lived. I felt that then I would finally get the personal attention I felt this needed.
I spoke with various different "lawyers" over the phone. I finally spoke with Mr. Willette and scheduled an appointment. I met with Rob Willette once before my hearing and at the hearing. I was able to get in contact with Mr. Willette 2 time after.
It was in that discussion that I informed Mr. Willette that I may be receiving a 1/3 inheritence and asked if we could stop the bankriptcy and use that money to repay my creditors.He explained what we may possibly be able to do and that he would get back to me. He never did get back to me. I had to call numerous times before actually getting to speak again with Mr. Willette. He told me the bankruptcy court would not let me stop the bankruptcy for fear I would just run up my debt soon and then claim bankruptcy court again. I am now dealing with the aftermath of EXTREMELY POOR legal council and a lot of trouble witht he bankruptcy court.
After contacing the bAnkruptcy court myself I received a letter supposedly form Mr. Willette, claiming he has been trying to contact me(I am at the same job now as I was when I was going through bankruptcy)it lists a number to call "him" at. I called almost a week ago. Surprise, Mr. Willette was not in the office. THe person answering offered to help but knows nothing about my case. I have yet to hear back! What a mess.
This is the worst service I could have ever imagined and would warn everybody adn anybody to research, ask friends, word of mouth will hopefully bring you better luck with a Lawyer that cares about his/her clients. I would steer even my enemies form using LEGAL HELPERS!

After sending a very explicit e-mail stating all of my concerns and issues to the higher ups at Legal Helper's, I finally received a response from Mr. Willette in April. I spoke with Mr. Willette numerous times, received 3 emails in April 06', rec1 email in May 06'and 1 email in June 06'.Since then Mr. Willette has not contacted me nor has he answered any phone calls or emails I have sent. The last one I sent to him Aug.1, 2006. I still am not sure where exactly my case stands at this point. I will continue to periodically attempt to contact Mr. Willette in the hopes of getting everything resolved. I would still not recommend Legal Helpers to anyone. I too will fiel a report about Mr. Willette and Legal Helpers.

In legal matters, you really get what you pay for. If you don't want to pay a whole lot of money for a lawyer, you are not going to get very good representation. Legal Helpers are not all real attorneys. They are usually people with legal background who can make suggestions how to follow through with cases like divorce, bankruptcy, custody, etc. but usually are not backed by the BAR Association. Do you know if Rob Willette was a real attorney?
