This is a collection agency for Leasecomm and Time Payment Co in Massachusetts - they have a male collector that advises you that he has the power to "render a judgement against you" without a hearing in court - he also says that he will report your account to the credit bureaus and your score will drop by 300 points with the judgement -
this agency also calls into Colorado, Texas, South Carolina, Maine and Louisiana among others that they do not have a license to operate in - Some of these states are Closed Border States that prohibit any collection calls or letters from outside the state - they also make threats about repossession of equipment and court orders that do not exist - they continue to ask for payments "dated in advance" which is a way to try to get around requesting post dated check which is illegal in Massachusetts -
their client Leasecomm was under a Federal Order to have vacated $23Million in illegally obtained judgements in Massachusetts an update their former customers credit bureaus - Leasecomm has instead assigned these accounts to David Taylor and Associates for collection - this agency collects third party debt with illegal practices - if you get a call from them challenge then to sue you - all their accounts are marked internally - "WILL NOT SUE"

I received a call from D. T. and assoc.'s on my cell phone voicemail telling them to call a number and mention an account number that they left. After checking up on them and reading this site's information, I am not going to respond.

This company is still operating within Massachusetts. Currently they are calling my mother looking for a "Christopher Santos." I have called them twice to stop the calls, today being the latest call.

I spoke to Bob Schroeder about the FTC settlement. He is a really honest and will tell you the good and the bad which will help you to determine where you stand with the Leasecomm Corp (sometimes it isn't easy!) He may be able to help you report on any alleged violations of the settlement agreement: Randy Brook or Bob Schroeder Northwest Region 206-220-6350 (Civil Action No. 0311034- REK) Good Luck.

This company has been contacting my relatives in New Hampshire (also where I live) and a representative called "Stephanie" is posing as someone who "wants to get in touch" with me. They do not have my current contact information, so I had not called them back, but instead did a websearch on "David Taylor company" to find this site. So, apparently, they are trying to collect in New Hampshire as well. Thanks for the report!
