Lake Placid Subway ripoff, terrible excuse for a business, Mike Ames store owner is a pathetic excuse for a human being Lake Placid New York
The Subway in Lake Placid is a terrible excuse for a business, this store was taking over by Mike Ames awhile ago and it seems that the store has worsened more and more each time I enter it. The only thing that they have fixed is the steps coming in the building lord knows they needed it, so I guess I have to credit them for that but that is it.
This store owner is a pathetic excuse for a human being, from what I understand he sits at home in his Jacuzzi and pop pills while his poor employees are always stuck at work doing everything. His girlfriend is supposed to be the manager but she seems more concerned with her fake tan and doing her nails at home, why cant she afford to get them done in a salon probaly because they sink all their money into her mothers house which they live in, what a sad couple they are.
Anyways about Subway this store is lacking big time in appearance the tiles are old and the floors are missing sections of the trim work. One day I was in there when the guy was stocking the chip rack in the back and oh my god what a horrible mess it looked like back there, to think that my food comes from this place is herendous, I even saw produce being stored back there is that proper I thought all produce is supposed top be kept chilled. I can only imagine what the cooler looks like YIKES the floor is probaly disgusting! I once heard a employee tell other customers that when you eat at Subway you are not truly eating fresh this is probaly because most of the employees are eating the food right off of the front line, and I even saw one guy taking food out without gloves on(how sanitary is that really).
There is also a woman and I think her name is Julie this woman seems to do nothing while she is there but make sandwiches and that is all, HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF CLEANING SWEETHEART?? I truly can say that I personally will not eat at this Subway ever again and I hope that others will heed this warning. Mike Ames I hope you read this and make some drastic changes to your store because us consumers deserve better than this, please shape up or we will watch your business fail for lack of concern.
And why is it that there is never a manager in this store past three o clock and god forbid I ever have seen one actually work on weekends unless there is alot of money coming in from some local event. People in Lake Placid should be treated much better than this Subway treats people and believe me I have filed a complaint to Subway headquarters.
P.S. The Better Business Bureau will also be looking into your pay of employees from what I understand you cheat them out of their money so be careful what you do because they will be checking into you!!!!

Colleen, I guess you can't resist sticking your fat nose into everyone's buisness. Like the other sites say about you no matter where you go to work there is always problems with you and you go on this site and talk your usual trash. You know everyone who knows you doesn't care what you write about because you are a fat s--t who can't hold a job. Grow up looser before some gives you a visit at your new apartment on main street.

I know that I have already wrote a response, but I have more to say, so I figured what the hell I will add on to what Scott has to say! I think that the store really needs to be shut back down. It is so dirty in there. Just go out in lobby and look and where the bottom of the wall meets the floor. Its gross! I did such a good job cleaning up that back room and you would think that the other staff would keep up on it but no they open chip boxes and just throw them. Its so nasty back there, Bleach wouldnt even work on those floors ---trust me I tried! Mike really needs to hire someone who can be a real manager, because Julie thinks that because she hands you a prep list and runs out the door at exactly 4 that she is assistant manager,and lisa we wont even go there! Enough said...All she thinks about is going home to drink. the whole place makes me sick If your not family you dont fit in. Mike here is some advice hire someone who actually wants to work...You have Julie who doesnt split the tips fairly. and when you go into the bathroom she splits them up and cheats you out on money . James who only wants to work a two hour shift, and cant handle being told to do anything other then go home...Kat who cant work more then four hours because she is pregnet and talks s**t about everyone when they leave, alex who quit what a worker he was haha, ally who thats an issue in its self. she is nice at first but she is 31 and acts 5 i once even heard someone ask her if she needed ritalin, haha, she acts so immature inside and outside of work...Need I say anymore about her. Adam this new guy he has working until aug. WHo is gay...and so annoying, he talks s**t about everyone including allys mamma...haha kathy who needs a dentist badly. she looks like a man, by the way do you want to borrow a shaver for those whiskers of yours. well I think there hiring now sounds like a wonderful place to work haha why dont you go apply. I set a nice picture but unfortantly its all very sad but very true. So if your daring go grab an application today!!!!!!!

I believe that everything this person has said is very much true. He doesnt give a d**n about his employees. Then he waited until after I had all the prep done to fire me. Let me tell you so many ditgusting things go on in that store. The kids there that he hires, are so nasty and lazy they dont do anything but help customers anything that needed to be prepped,washed,lobby cleaned, they refuse to help. I hope the place gets shut back down. Very poor business skills, the owner doesnt run his store very well at all. The whole place makes me sick. I will never eat there again, especially working there and knowing what really happends to my food.
