Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Labor ready now uses a new text messaging system to inform workers of temporary assignments. Once you receive the “text” message you must reply back with “YES” and you will get the job, BULLS**T!

This system allows the person (labor ready staff) to assign the job to the person they want to give it to, for example if one of the Labor Ready (LR) staff workers do not like you, and you reply with “YES” to a sent out text message, well guess what you will not get the job, it is happening to me!

I voiced my concern one day about being paid travel for jobs over 50 miles, which LR does not do, and ever since then, I have not been assigned a job even though I have answered text messages within seconds of them being sent to my phone, coincidence, I think not.

Also, this LR branch #1490 uses temp worker drive other temp workers to sites, utilizing their personal vehicles and the driver then charges other workers $5 to do this and this could cause a problem with liability.  For example, there is one guy who drives a grey BMW and while he was driving another worker to a job, his car window was damaged and he wanted to FIGHT the dude for “breaking” his window! Well if Labor Ready would’ve gotten off their cheap azz and used the VAN that sits out front, maybe that “fight” could’ve been avoided

Labor Ready charges the customer a mileage rate and the temp employees do not see a dime of it, unless they speak up or are told by the LR customer, like what happened in my situation.

I and another worker were on a job site and the customer mentioned travel pay and we were kind of of shocked because Labor Ready never told us about the travel pay, but LR charged the customer a rate of $20 pr car load and how is that possible “the car load” part if I am driving my own vehicle? We both got the pay but I could tell LR didn’t want to pay it. Then they (LR) only wanted to pay one of us the little old lady behind the counter said we should’ve drove one car lol I think not, why doesn’t LR just use their van to drive workers to sites?

In closing, be careful when dealing with these jerks and if you feel that you’re being treated unfair contact True Blue Compliance at 855.702.5378 or go to the website www. trueblueinc.alertline.com and file a complaint!

And despite how 'fair' you think the idea of Equal Opportunity should be, you are still a representative of that company. When you show up in the morning looking for a job and only one ticket exists to answer phones in a professional environment your steel-toed boots are likely going to eliminate you from consideration for that position. If you show up in loafers and a sweater, youre likely not going to get that ditch-digging gig. If the office staff know you to flagrantly an excessively possess a foul mouth, you're likely also limiting your opportunities. If you're unreliable or show up randomly, you're certain not to get that one steady-ticket you can count on for a while.

Of course they pass some people over if a more well-suited alternate is available. Unless you make yourself more marketable, you're going to be that guy who gets overlooked.

And I did read your rambling complaint. Sadly and pointlessly, complaining is all it was.

Best,

A satisfied Labor Ready employee

Well, it is very apparent that you didn't read my entire complaint!

I am not sure what "show up early. Show up shorn. Don’t smell like an old sock...." has to do with MY complaints! If you have folks showing up like this, I feel sorry for you at that front desk lol.

I showed up at the Labor Ready Office at 902 WHITE HORSE PIKE STRATFORD, New Jersey and I got jobs but I was explaining how Labor Ready shows favoritism.

Also, that report was filed October 2013, and since then I have found a very rewarding job that doesn't try to RIP off employees, show favoritism or treat others with disrespect!

Also, I have told others that are unemployed to STAY AWAY FROM LABOR READY!

Not everyone is that seeks temporary day labor employment are: lazy or smell like an “old sock”.

Most of us are MEN that need employment and are hard workers and NEED to work to support their families and provide for them.  Just think about this, YOU could be laid off at anytime and be on the other side of that DESK looking for work.

Hey is that old, crusty azz, grey haired, disrespectful dude still run the front desk?

With respect to the complaint that Labor Ready's text advisory system in some way contributes to the subjectivity of the assignment of jobs is laughable!  It's a convenience to you as you sit waiting at some other temp agency not being assigned a job.

Let me give the author some advice: show up early. Show up shorn. Dont smell like an old sock. Work hard enough so that clients request you back. Have a good attitude.

If the author could manage those things he'd never be without work.

Sincerely,

A Labor Ready employee.
