Labor Ready Behavior test lunacy & discriminationw San Jose California
My stepson recently moved to our area, San Jose CA. In order to get a jumpstart on employment, he was told to go to Labor Ready in order to get fast tracked into a warehouse position at a local company. After speaking to the District Manager, Sandy, on the phone, he went to get paperwork, etc. taken care of on Tuesday, with the expextation to go to work on Wednesday. All was fine until he was asked to do a behavioral test. He did the 73 question test, answering every question honestly. He does not smoke, drink, do drugs, is completely non violent, has a clean record, and.....He FAILED the test! He was disappointed, & his father & I were flabbergasted & stunned. That is, until I started to do some research on Labor Ready's vast number of complaints on this joke of a test. It seems that they want social misfits, as anyone with any initiative on their own will most likely not be with them long-term, thus not making them money. The strangest form of reverse discrimination I have yet to see, but definitely discrimination nonetheless. If there is not already a class action lawsuit in place against this joke of a company, there should be. I personally know of a guy working through this very same office (he has worked with them for years) who not only shoots heroin each and every morning before work (and during and after as well), but has been in and out of prison numerous times, the most recent stint after beating a man w/ an aluminum baseball bat until he was paralyzed. Great job, Labor Ready!! Way to go.
