Complaint Review: Kristen Ann Wren Barnes - Salt Lake City Utah

Kristen AKA: Wren Barnes presents herself professionally as an actress, model and producer.


She's played a handful of uncredited and unpaid roles as a random extra in films that she glamourises.. but the mass majority of her acting is not done on a stage, it's done in real life, the stories she tells are often just as fictional and mallable as a screenplay.. And the actors that she casts to meet her objectives, are people like you and I.


At first meeting, you may think as many have: what a bright, beautful and bouncy young girl with her life together.  But if you allow her to stick around long enough to see through the cracks of this act, what is revealed is riddled with unresolved issues of varieties of kinds, pushed down and avoided emotions of jealousy, insecurity, anger and fear that she uses as a primary motivator and that materializes in some very scary ways at crucial moments in your business, social or family circles.


These unresolved issues are what eat her alive inside and are the actual source of real pain that she feels and uses when comes time to hurt someone with.


And it's when you've seen any bits of these insecurities, fears and anger, that she turns against you, or starts gathering information about you to find someway to hurt you with and make you sound uncreditable.

She will appear kind and helpful, even doing things like offering to help pull weeds in the garden if she also gets paid for it.. But along the way, will ask seemingly innocent questions along the way as if she doesn't understand something.  Then when she has enough information about you to twist or use against you as she takes the victim role, she'll places you in center stage as the aggressor against her when you don't give her what she wants.


Wren uses moral and religious contexts as a means of infusing guilt into a situation to manipulate people into doing what she wants, or when she wants to inflict damage on someones moral rectitude as a means of getting back at them for something she has done that she wants to take the focus off of her. She'll accuse people of: "Not Being Christlike" if they don't aquiest to letting her stay at their house or give her things or opportunites.  She'll use this most when talking about other people behind their backs to inspire doubt or confusion about the person talked about.


She's done things like move into peoples houses, promise to pay them and keep up certain standards and agreements.. then pulls a power move to blackmail or extort them so that she doesn't have to pay while she trashes their home.

She did this to me, she did it to a single mom in Utah named Nancy Reyes, someone else she called a friend named Kelly Mejia and a guy in Southern California among others..


She intentionally gathers information against you in order to use to extort you and keep you quiet while she continues to take advantage of you, or she gets ahold of as many friends, family members and colleagues as she possibly can to frantically tell them the massively exaggerated or completely fabricated and damaging stories about how she was tragically victimized by you.


When you finally have enough of her trashing your house and insist that she needs to leave.. She'll do things like antagonize you to a point to try to get you to lose your cool, but then when you don't, she'll claim that she was hit in the head by you anyway, call the police and when they dismiss her as a liar because her stories are inconsistent and get more elaborate and extreme every time she tells them. She'll get even more frustrated and go to the emergecny room, claim she's been beaten and needs to be checked out and when the medical staff who looks at her like she's crazy when she tries to enroll them into her story, she'll then send you the bill.  Shes done this to me.


She'll do things like tell your kids that the reason their father isn't around is because they're bad kids and no one wants to be around them.. She did this to Nancy Reyes' kids after Nancy was manipulated into letting Wren stay in her daughters bedroom for 2 months, not paying Nancy anything and trashing the space, while the agreement was to pay Nancy for staying for 2 weeks then leaving. Wren physically attacked Nancy when Nancy told Wren she needed to leave. Wren defiantly refused then sucker punched Nancy in the face, leaving a bruise when Nancy turned away from Wren to call the police.


Wren will use victim stories about people abusing her, hitting her, molesting/raping her, stealing from her, etc whenever she wants to get out of trouble for something she did that makes her look an unfavorable way or that she harmed someone else and she desprately needs other people to trust her. She enrolls peoples trust and sympathy so that they will stand up to protect her when actually, the other person was most likely someone that Wren abused, manipulated, stole from or otherwise decieved and now Wren is acting out of proactive self preservation because she's afriad of what they'll say about her and how it will effect her socially.


Wren sabatoges her own success in drastically egotistical ways that are astounding.


She's lashed out against Marshall Moore (the head of the Utah Film Commission) because she demanded that she get paid for helping him with things that were actually her opportunity to provide service and make it in with the Utah Film Commssion.


Wren spread rumors and gossip about Tony Tuscano, a well known producer in Utah, behind his back saying that Tony gets drunk and tries to cheat on his wife with Wren. Wren went on and on to try to get me mad at Tony, saying things like Tony is so lonely and sad and tries to sleep with girls he professionally works with.

She manipulated sides of a story and didn't pay her part of a sponsorship deal at the Studio Lounge at Sundance 2016 where she was supposed to pay her half to sponsor the event and speak on a film panel, but instead, she told Tony Tuscano that I was supposed to pay for it all, without telling me and pawned the responsibility off on me, causing a mass of confusion and distortion and out of clarification and resolution sake was forced to pay her half.


She also broke her phone screen and tried to pawn it off on Kels Goodman.  She walked by Kels, talking about how important she is, then dropped her already broken phone in front of him and accused him of causing her to drop her phone and breaking her screen. She started to cause a scene that would cause questionable drama for Kels so he paid her $100 and told her he never wanted to see her again, knowing d**n well what Wren is really about.


Wren used her story of being a victim to gain sympathy with Andria Schultz and Ivy Ejam and evenutally get involved with a film project they had. At first, they believed her.. then they saw the abusive and maipulative nature themselves when Wren tried to gain credit for their work and demanded payment even though Wren produced no value for their project and only caused burden. Wren threatened to extort Ivy and Andria, but had absolutely no grounds or legal justification. It resulted in Ivy and Andria realizing the truth about Wren for themselves.


Wren professes to be a partner at a production studio called MPMG to make herself look good. Instead, Wren has frustrated everyone working there, tried to circumvent them with their major finance partner, recieved Cease and Desist letters from their attorneys and has caused frustrating and confusing situations for people she's tried to manipulate to get personal loans with so she could get paid a few thousand dollars at a time.


Wren is an energy sucker. She takes from people. She's not a giver, she is a taker and goes about her ways of forcing people to do what she wants from a place of power, control and manipulation. She constantly buys into power games and feels strong in her ability to debate and argue, using it as a weapon against anyone she feels like she can hurt as a last resort.


Wren Barnes called a woman named Michelles husband and claimed to him that Michelle had cheated on him because Wren perceived that Michelle was interested in me (her x boyfriend).  The furthest from the truth.  Wren felt like she needed to hurt and lash out at Michelle because Michelle has a fantastic marriage, children and very successful career. And Wren was jealous and felt rejected by Michelle because Michelle denied Wren's pushy, insistent and manipulative offers for a personal credit loan.


Ironically, Wren has also made empty promises and manipulated Maggie Grant of Grantworks Productions into taking out massive loans and spending on pre-production costs that ultimately hurt Maggie and caused her to not get her film made. Wren Barnes also manipulated and profusely lied to Brent Pinkerton, who she told had distribution secured for his film, Senioritis http://www.imdb.com/title/tt5610638/?ref_=nm_flmg_dr_1.  She told Brent that she could get the entire production budget for him ($70,000) if he gave her $7000. She tried to keep the money when it was reveled that she couldn't deliver. She also couldn't face Brent after she tried to blame him for why she couldn't get the movie funded, while still trying to get credit and paid for the film as a producer when Brent's aunt stepped in to help him.  Wren exhibited complete asinine behavior to no end with this one.

Wren has been diagnosed and exhibits all the qualities of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD).  Wren was taking prescription medications for psychological disorders when I first met her.  She seemed nice enough that maybe the medications were causing the emotional oddities were showing up.  She talked about trying more natural approaches than the drugs and I think this has been what has caused the massive imbalances and for her to go off the rails how she has in the 2 years that I knew her.


If you ever get cast into one of Wrens real life drama horror scenes..  Theres not much you can do to stop her from doing something to hurt you at that point you realize the situation you're in. She only feels safe when she's gathered information that she can use against you in some damaging way as collateral for when she pulls a power move to manipulate you.

It took me and alot of people a long time to realize that Wren is actually pulling wool over your eyes and manipulating you. She seems so nice, motivated and innocent..  The real problem is she's likeable and you don't want to believe that she would do such egregious things until it's happening to you and you're in a bad situation.
