i'm sure N.Y. has safty laws simular to Tx. If this dealer has indeed delivered a vehicle to a consumer that is not in safe and working order (broken tail light and emergency brake) He has broke state laws concerning road safety take the vehicle to a state cerified inspection site have them inspect the car you. It would really help your case if you can get a peace officer to attend and verify condition of vehicle. Document every detail find a lawyer in you area that likes to sue dealers he will work pro bono if you have all your ducks in a row (if he wins he gets money if not you don't pay) now he is motivated to work for you. YOU must do your HOMEWORK when buying a car!!!!!! If you can verify what you say you WILL WIN!!!!!! IF you were in san antonio I'd tell you to call Pete Torres he loves to sue dealers. And he wins so most dealers will fold and just settle. See if your county has DUSPUTE RESOLUTION CENTER if so they will help. Go to google and type F&I lawsuits or autodealer lawsuits do some research. BUT YOU NEED DOCUMENTATION!!!!!!!! good luck a freind in the auto industry

You should have had the sense to bring your own MECHANIC to examine the car! Never never buy used without having the car examined by another mechanic, you are setting yourself up! Car dealerships are about as honest as lawyers, politicians and the police department! Let this be a lesson learned!

How to take action against Corrupt Auto Dealers and other unscrupulous business
While you are there each day, I would had out copies of your Rip-off Report. If they kick you off the property, make big posters with BIG BOLD LETTERS that say:
.......
Koeppel
VW
Rip-off
......
Other potential buyers passing buy will remember this.
Potential buyers will most likely NOT enter the dealership.
Stay on the sidewalk. Most likely, other victims will stop by and help you.
This is a very rewarding experience!
Walk back and forth over the driveway entrance.
That is part of the public right-of-way. This is legal everywhere in the USA.
You are exercising your 1st and 14th amendment rights.
For every hour you are out there, let them know your cost to stand out side and picket is $200 an hour. That you will not stop till they fix your car or refund your money in full, including your picketing fees. Give no discounts!
Police cannot stop you.
Keep out of the street and off their private property.
Once you are out there, you will realize this was a very rewarding experience and you will enjoy yourself! Get friends to join you!

This email is a rebuttal to RipOff #3384.
It was sent by TOLDE at [email protected]
KOEPPEL VOLKSW AGEN OF QUEENS IS DISHONEST (#3384)
They filed the following rebuttal to the above Rip-Off Report:
Their email: [email protected]
Their name: TOLDE
Their phone number: 718-343-9026
Their relationship to the company: Supporter
Rebuttal:
Koeppel VW is right now one of the two best VW dealers in the New York Metro Area to work with. I visited numerous other dealers locally when looking for a new car last year.
I did not feel comfortable with doing business in any of the numerous VW dealers I visited in the Long Island/Five Boroughs area as I felt most were up to doing the same old auto retailing trickeries that gave car dealerships a bad reputation for
countless years.
I found Koeppel VW to be the only VW dealer in Long Island/Five Boroughs area to be courteous and to offer a fair deal without
having to fight hard for it. The car I received from them nine months ago has been trouble-free, too.
