The Knights Inn is located off exit 161 on I-75 on Florida's west coast.  The hotel was a Motel 6 for decades but was recently sold May 1st, 2011 to an Indian family.   That's where the downfall began, once the sign changed to Knights Inn.

I went into the office at 5:15am to extend my stay for 9 days.  The night window was in use and the employee working, unknown to me, was actually on his last night of work and was moving to New Jersey after his shift was over.  He was french and spoke zero english.  I've stayed here for over 90 days without a phone in my handicap room.  I was use to not getting a reciept after making a payment.  Common practice with this hotel. (1st red flag).

The cashier took my $360, placed it in his cash drawer and proceeded to take 15 minutes to incorrectly program my room keys.  6 days later the day manager female moron Dana sends a housekeeper to my room to tell me I need to go up and pay.  I went to the office, told them I already paid and that's where this story gets ugly!

The Indian owner and the chubby day manager made every attempt to attack me, and blame me.  The female day manager Dana 1st stated that the cashier that stole the money didn't even work that night, then she said he didn't work there anymore.  Then he did work that night but didn't take any cash in.  She couldn't get out the lies fast enough.  Everything was to blame except for her thief cashier!

The housekeeper that came to tell me to go to the office also told me a female cashier they kept on from the Motel 6, who was the head housekeeper for Motel 6 'Sandy", had stolen $1100 from the Knights Inn front desk cash drawer just a week before I was stolen from.

Make sure you never stop at this hotel.  Never give these people a dime of your money.  No phones in rooms, no fridge, 10 crappy channels on TV.  In the world of hotels....this nightmare Knights Inn hotel is the pits of the earth!

What does the new owners being Indian have anything to do with this?

If this place was so bad why were you not only there for 90 days, but went to extended your stay another 9 days?  Since you are a long term resident why did you have to go at 5:15 AM to extend your stay?  How come you couldn't do it when the actual office was open?
