I have 2012 Kia Optoma which I purchased new, the reason I bought this car, it is because Kia advertise 100.000 miles warranty which shields customers to an expected repair bills and save them their hard earn money.                                          Peace of mind they said, that is their selling pitch to the consumers.                                                                                   On the way home from Florida, driving onI95 the car with no warning at 75mls an hr the engine died in the middle of the highway, I have to navigate through traffic to pull to the shoulder. I tried to start the engine and it works now I check the dashboard to make sure there was no check engine light on so i start driving again there was no sign that is anything wrong with car until about half hour later when engine light came on and the engine start making some noises as I was trying to pull to shoulder engine died. I had towed to the nearest Kia dealership. By the way thank you so much to the State trooper who helped us and refused to leave us in the dark until he got a dispatch call even before he left he gave us his personal phone number In case we needed any help.Thank you Mr Trooper my God keep you safe always.                                                    The dealer told me the next day , the engine needs to be replace because there are so much sludge oil on the engine. A few days letter he called me that Kia refused to pay for the engine demanding all the service record. The oil change was done before the trip. A new engine will cost around $6000.                                                                                                            I read on the consumer affair complaints, many Kia customer had engine problem like mine, some cars a week old and some are less than 10,000 mls this cars are almost new and Kia would not honor their warranty. Always the consumers fault putting the blame on the consumers.

Frankly, i think the technology they used to build the engine is what causes the problem. They have internal engine problem on other models to. Please help
