Kia uses a tactic where they ask you to bring in all reciepts for oil changes not a problem for me right i keep them and i change my oil regularly 3,000 to 7,000 miles tops. if you are missing one reciept they wont pay. my problem was with the timing chain. 3 times they fixed it since 42,000 miles now at 80,000. This is basic engine tecnology. A regular oil change helps prolong the life of the motor and makes it run more efficiently etc. As long as there is sufficient oil ln the motor. there should not be a problem. i am 47 been driving since i was 16 tore engines apart and never had A timing chain problem. this is a load of crap i have a ford ranger right now 154,000 miles never a time chain problem. I have had cars with more miles all i did was add oil never a timeing chain problem.
