Kenworth truck repair ripoff, They misdiagnose repairs and overcharge for parts. Dallas texas
Whatever you do STAY AWAY from Dallas Kenworth trucks. They seem to be complete clueless idiots or they think you are. I took my truck there because it was overheating climbing long mountain grades. They checked it and called me the next day, telling me I had bad thermostats. I told them if they were bad it would overheat on level ground and not only climbing steep grades. They still insisted it was thermostats,so I told them to replace it.
When I got the truck the problem GOT WORSE. It would overheat even faster than before. Furious, when I got back in town I took it back there and then they said it was a bad radiator. WHY didnt they tell that in the first place?? They then quoted 3500.00 for parts and labor. They said the rad. itself was 2000.
YEAH RIGHT. I called the rad. shop myself and it was only 950.00 and all it needed was a core. I bought it there myself and took to an HONEST mechanic to replace it. The truck was running good and staying much cooler after that and the whole job only cost 1,700.oo versus 3500.00 Kenworth quoted me. By the way,the core
only cost 500.00,but I went ahead and bought the whole rad. for 950.00 It was worth it for a few hundred more dollars.
SO STAY FAR AWAY from Kenworth and other truck dealers in the Dallas area if you need truck repair. Instead,go to macyntire or C&G garage. They are much quicker and do a good job. These dealerships are all lyers and crooks.
