Let me tell you a story of how K-Mart lost a good customer over peanuts. I had bought one of those cell phones that require you to purchase a card for a certain amount of minutes(never do that). Basicly its a pay as you go type of deal where you are not bound by a contract. Well needless to say after I bought the phone I had to buy a $50.00 card to activate and use my phone.
After 35 minutes of trying to activate the phone, the service operator said that my phone was defective and that I could either return it for another or get a refund. Well I thought to myself I really dont want to go thru this mess again so I decided to return the phone and get a refund.
After some very rude and sluggish employees of K-mart took care of my situation, I was informed that the $50.00 card could not be refunded because the package had been opened and the number cover removed. It doesnt matter that you need the number to activate your phone in the first place. Well after arguing with a young so-called store manager- who accused me of perhaps using the card for a while and reurning the unused portion- about their decion no to refund the card portion I walked out vowing never to return.
Hey K-mart it was only $50. How cheap and greedy can you be?
Because of your decision, I shop somewhere else now.
You know I didnt even care about the money but the fact that they would not give me the benifit of the doubt and at least refund my money for the principal of the matter says a lot about their lousey customer service.
