Contacted Justin Quintana on 10/20 since I had found him on marketplace. We talked about the floors I wanted and then scheduled him to go take a look at my floor, give me a price and give him a deposit. He went to see the floor, we agreed on a price but my mom could not find me checks so he came to my office to pick up check around 1:00 pm. He then left, told me he was cashing the check them heading to Sample to get his materials and come right back. He then asked me for $200 more since he neede to cover the rest of the epoxy since he paid $975 for it. I told him no. I made it clear that the floors needed to be done on Saturday as I had company on Sunday and that we were taking pictures to list our house on the market.

At 4:20 he said he was pulling into his suppliers in pompano- I asked him why so late, he has told me he would be at my house my house at 5:00 to start work. He then said that was impossible. he had the $975 of epoxy, needed to go to Lowes and if he could work through the night since the garage was detached.

He was off 95 and Sample needed to go east if Atlantic to his job site and grab a shop vac to grind floor. he was also going to pigment the resin for the pour tomorrow and pigment the primer for tonights pour. probably going to spend 2 hours there so he did not have to return later and so he had the liquids ready to go. Plus traffic so he would be done in 2 hours. He reminded me about the little cash because he diped into another client supply money.

It was easier for him to buy more material than to penny pinch because he was in a rush. His material cost was going to be $1050, but he was cool with that since he was going to be in and out. at 7:37 I told him that if he was not on his way back that I needed to cancel the floor and wanted my money back. at 9:42 he texted me that he was on the way to me with 15 gallons of resin pigmented to execute "my battle wagon in route" He said he was in Pompano to me.

He said he would put down primer by noon, top coat at midnight, we could walk on the floor with socks before NFL kickoff. I reminded him that I was having my realtor stop by on Sunday morning so as long as it was done by then. I kept calling him because he had not shown up and he had said he was on his way but never was. He then told me that he had Friday traffic, went through 3 counties terrible rain and he had acquired $1100. of materials to do a $1500 job.

10:35 He texted that he was stopping in Lake Worth for gas and little boys room. He has a nuclear option of hubby did not want to deal with late-night noise- that he could go to walmart and grab a bunch of acetone early in the morning and do all resin in one monster pour. I told him drinding was fine. I just wanted him to SHOW up! I had already given him $800! He ended up showing up after midnight! at 1:33 am he messaged me that 35% of grinding ws done and was going to run to wawa and be back. If I don't take a break every 2 hours my sweat dripping into the machine will electrocute him.

I woke up in the morning to see that he had not returned. He said he had (he did not, as I have cameras) but he said he had to go back to Pompano to get his gloved. He bought new ones, and had showered and was heading back. He mentioned that my floor had cracks and that if I would have told him before that he could have fixed. He asked if I wanted to use resin to cover them. I told him to speak to my hubby. Hubby told him to cover the cracks and then pour them. To seal them.

He returned Saturday did a little work and then left. I had to leave with the kids for soccer and he said he would be finished with the floor in two hours. I told him I would be back them to pay him. He then told me he was going to go to the store and would be back. How is it that he did not notice this when he came to do estimate? Why is he askig me for an additional $200?!

He called me around 11:45 to tell my alarm had gone off. I told him no alarm was going off but I would call the alarm company. The alarm company said that the alarm had not been set off, so I then called him back and told him he should be fine, as no alarm had been set off. To please not try to open the home doors or the alarm would be set off. I also told him we were no longer going to take pics but that I needed the work done by Saturday as agreed. He worked for about an hour and then left. When I tried to call him several times, and send him messages he did not answer me. I asked him why the floor was not done.

He then returned but texted me to tell me that when he came back he had grinded the top level then realized that the resin was in the sun, needed to cool it and then had locked his phone in the garage. SO he needed to leave again, go to Pompano to do a job he was doing but he would return. He put the first coat down.

On Saturday he told me that he would finish grinding, out the primer on and then resin in the morning. I asked him to please finish today as it has done on for too long. He said he was on Northlake. On Sunday I asked him around 11:45 where he was at since he had not shown up. He then told me he had to wait 24 hours between coats.

He then said he had a meeting in Jensen 1:30-2 and said he could then come to the house and would only need 454 min. He texted at 6 if it was okay to stop by withing 1/2 hour. At 6:12 he said he had stopped by and had seen our bounce house outside but to call him and he would be right back.  Then at 8 he said he would not bother us, but that he would return in the morning to finish up and collect payment.

I told him the floor as not properly grinded and that he needed to do a better job. He said he did not have the property tool and that it would cost more to do the coners and wall space. The floor residn looks horrible, the cracks are still in the floor even though we told him to do seal them. I then told him it was not necessary to return as I did not want him to come back that on Sunday night that I was tired of his antics and lack of work ethic.

I told him I was going to call the bank and dispute the charges. I asked him to NOT show up at my home or property again or that I would call the police. I called him a liar, and reminded him that he was supposedly showing up with mixed resin, but showed up with boxes. He said he had the resin on the back of his car. I now have to pay someone to come redo the floors, and seal the cracks!

Thought I had hired a professional but I ended up hiring a con!
