I ordered and paid for a jacket on 1-24-05 from this company. On 2-2-05 I received an email stating the order had been processed. Also on 2-2-05 I received an email with a UPS tracking number (estimated arrival date was 2-7-05). The UPS website still shows that this item was never picked up or shipped.

After several emails inquiring about the problem, I was told this order had been shipped. I requested a refund on several occasions but was told I could not get one because they had shipped the order. Also told on several occasions that they would put a tracer on this order.

After a live chat session with a customer service rep on 2-23-05, I havent received any response from this company. They will not return phone calls either. I would not advise anyone to do business with them. All I wanted was my money back.

After 5 months I finally received a check from Global Web Corp. aka Just-Leather for a refund. This check was not a corporate computer run check, but a hand written one. Hopefully it won't bounce. Had it not been for the Dept. of Consumer Affairs in Monmouth County intervening, I'm sure I would still be waiting for a refund. Here it is 4 months into my ordeal with this company. After months of repeated email efforts, I received another reply on 5-17-05 from a guy named Mark Stavis who is supposed to be the Senior VP of this so-called corporation. He assured me that a check was going to be mailed on 5-20-05, but it has not found its way to my mailbox as of yet. I guess its another one of their "glitches". On 5-27-05, The Dept. of Consumer Affairs for Monmouth County New Jersey sent Just Leather.com and Matthew Sherman a letter regarding my complaint. Hopefully they will be able to help out in obtaining my refund. If anyone else wants to contact consumer affairs the address is: Monmouth County Dept. of Consumer Affairs 50 E. Main Street, P.O. Can you believe the nerve of these people.

Received a reply to one of my numerous emails demanding my refund on 4-29-05. Said they were going to cut me a check and mail it to me the 1st week of May. I'm sure its another lie. These people are crooked. If you are thinking about ordering something from them....Don't! Their customer service is equivalent to a fast food drive through. They are good at scamming people.

This is from someone familar with just-leather and this complaint forum. Matthew Sherman is not telling the truth about his company. He does not do 20 million dollars like he states because he his personally bankrupt in chapter 13. Here it is 4-13-05 and still no jacket or refund. Here are some excerpts from their e-mails showing how they lie. 2/2/05 "Your order has been shipped, scheduled delivery 07 Feb 2005." 2/23/05 " It takes 3-5 days to process your order. This has left our building." 2/28/05 "You have been refunded this through Paypal already." 3/1/05 "This was shipped and will arrive to you in the next few days." 3/2/05 "You have put in a chargeback complaint, at this point this cant be shipped." 3/5/05 (after notifying them of insufficient Paypal funds) "We will check this out, it seems hard to believe, we are a 20M dollar a year company." 3/7/05 "We do not play games." 3/11/05 "We are a company with over 125 employees.. I will research this for you..we have a call into Paypal." 3/17/05 "Please show us where Paypal did not issue you the refund that shows out of our account." 3/22/05 "I will call Paypal today and speak with them to straighten this out.. we will refund you the money." 4/1/05 "The legal authorities, what do you think we are an ebay store? We do over 500 orders daily. We put in this issue with paypal via email to the accounts resolution dept. an i received an email yesterday that they are investigating this issue..and it said we will be notified within 72 hours with resolution." 4/4/05 "I apologize but we did contact them. Paypal has over 2000 employees since theyre owned by ebay. You must be kidding me for them to know if we called in and spoke to someone." 4/4/05 "Now we stole the money...did you ever think there was a glitch, we will call paypal one more time this evening..we are a company and you call the authorities..not an issue..we can show them where it was refunded." This has been going on for 13 weeks now. Games, games, and more games. I turned them in to the IFCC and the New Jersey AG's office. They are good at one thing, telling lies.
