Here is an article from News 3 Shreveport, LA WOMAN CONVICTED OF FRAUD AND CONSPIRACY A Shreveport woman has been found guilty of conspiracy, mail and wire fraud in federal court. It took the jury just an hour to convict 22-year old Jorea McNamee Blount. Blount had convinced a non-profit group called "Powerup" to give her charity...The Volunteer Center of Northwest Louisiana, a grant of ten thousand dollars, plus 20 computers and software. But it turns out, the charity was a fake. Blount kept the money and sold the computers on an internet auction site and pocketed the cash. Blount denied the charges against her. In a rare move, the judge ordered Blount kept behind bars until her formal sentencing on February 21st next year.
