I've bought more new cars than I should've and lost my, um.... shirt, on a few and I know that's my fault. It's  also my fault if I buy all that crap from the 12 year old finance manager that is telling me how I should manage my money when I make twice what he does. I deal with him because I have a great history with Ford Credit and was getting 2.9%, but for whatever reason this day I thought the part etching was something I wanted. I talked him down to just $160 and if anybody parted out my new Stang, we would "catch 'em"!!!!

Anyway today I'm washing my baby because my wife drove it in the rain! (There's a lot of things wrong there) One of the etching stickers comes off and no etching, just a sticker! I check other stickers and same story!! Jerks just put the stickers on and didn't do the etching. I checked the contract for this amazing service and low and behold, my personal and unique ID# isn't filled in the box. So how are they going to register my number with the National 800 Number that the police are going to contact when they find my hood in El Paso TX??

Go peel your stickers off and see if yours were etched. I bet they make a lot of money by not etching and / or not sending the contract in because lets face it, how often does anybody file a claim on this "invaluable service"?

Who Loves Ya Oklahoma? Joe Cooper does cuz your makin' him rich.

etching is a type of insurance. it is on all autos sold at Joe cooper. there is a monetary benefit if your auto is stolen. also some auto insurance companies give a discount just for having it. if ur auto is stolen you can file a.claim and will still get paid. you may have noticed the "etch" sticker was falling off. this is ok. most of them chemically etch the #into the auto and can be read under a type of black light. if it was just the sticker a thief would just pull them off.
