Stephen Vicinanza is a scam artist. He has multiple job listings seeking freelance copy editors for technical manuscripts and then never pays once the work is complete. Instead, he makes excuses saying he was never paid by the publishing houses (Macmillan and Cambridge University Press). When I contacted Macmillan, they said they never hear of him and do not have him listed as an approved vendor for their manuscripts. It has been well over 90 days and I have not been paid. I have reported him to everywhere he is listed. This guy is a scam artist. He also has an UpWork account that he has made well over 3K on, and yet he refuses to pay his freelancers. He also just dropped $450,000 on a new house 2 years ago and yet, cannot pay his freelancers. He is a scammer. And he never responds to emails. He only responded after I messaged him on LinkedIn and called him scum and told him that I was suing him. Steer clear. His day in court is fast approaching.
